If you're looking for an escape that combines stunning natural beauty with a touch of adventure, Jebel Shams Resort is an absolute gem. Nestled atop Oman's highest peak, it offers jaw-dropping views over the majestic canyons, and I must say, the sunsets here are nothing short of spectacular! I was thrilled with the spacious luxury room that came with a glass door leading out to a patio - perfect for evening reflections with my fiancé after a long day of hiking. The resort's location is a fantastic base for exploring the Balcony Walk, which I highly recommend driving to rather than hiking from the resort itself; it's just a short drive away. The staff went above and beyond, preparing packed breakfasts for us to fuel our adventures, and the buffet meals were a delightful blend of local and western cuisines. Plus, there's a cozy café perfect for post-hike treats - their cheesecakes are a must! And while I didn't take a dip in the pool during my visit, I loved walking around the property surrounded by beautiful pomegranate trees, which added to the overall charm. I was also pleasantly surprised by how welcoming and attentive the staff were, which is always a plus for any traveler. Just remember to pack some warm clothes; it does get pretty chilly at night! Jebel Shams Resort is a perfect blend of comfort, breathtaking vistas, and adventure - don't miss this one on your trip to Oman!
